FAQs
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind. Ever drive down the freeway and realize you don’t remember the last exit you passed? That’s hypnosis! Hypnosis is a focused state of mind.
Will you give me the solutions to my problems?
I don’t give you the answers or solutions to your problems. We journey together to get you in touch with the part of you that knows. I’m essentially helping you find your owner’s manual!
How does hypnosis work?
The short answer- hypnosis works with the subconscious mind.
Throughout the day, we function from our Conscious Mind, or what the mystics call the Ego. It’s who you think you are. But the subconscious mind drives behavior. It’s where emotions and the meanings we’ve ascribed to life and its events reside. It powers our belief systems, it’s who you truly are. In hypnosis, we’re able to access and work with the subconscious mind to heal the past and overcome limiting beliefs.
What if I’m afraid of thoughts or memories being “implanted”?
Ah yes, this is a common concern but it’s not like the movies. Hypnosis is not mind-control. All parts of the mind have a protective mechanism. This protective part won’t allow you to think or believe anything you wouldn’t ordinarily want to. False memories? That’s unethical, I don’t suggest events or situations to you.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Yes, anyone who wants to be hypnotized can be hypnotized.
How long will it take?
Great question! It depends. Most clients require an average of 5 sessions. Sometimes more, sometimes less. I recommend sessions be spaced 1-2 weeks apart.
What if I can’t come to the office?
That’s okay, I can work virtually. In fact, some clients prefer the comfort of their homes, while others can’t travel to my office. Online sessions are safe and just as successful. They’re great for busy individuals.
What is 5-PATH?
5-PATH is an acronym for Five Phase Advanced Transformational Hypnosis. 5-PATH was developed by Master Hypnotist, Cal Banyan.
